Groundwork South West has announced it will be running courses on an entry level environmental management system.

ACORN BS8555 - new training courses start in 2010 - book now

Groundwork offers in-house BS 8555 training and implementation courses for businesses that are seeking to implement their environmental management system in stages.

BS 8555 allows businesses to seek third party verification through a UKAS accredited inspection body for the work they have already undertaken without having to implement ISO14001 all in one step.

BS 8555 consists of six separate phases, each of which can be individually certified. Each phase is divided into separate stages that outline specific requirements, making implementation more manageable. On completion of stage 1 of phase 6, businesses can become certified to ISO14001.
