By making your Pledge, you are agreeing to take action to support our ambition to make Bristol a leading UK green capital: a low carbon city with a high quality of life. There are many ways you can support this goal. We expect the majority of organisations to get involved through improving their own environmental performance to help reduce carbon emissions and support Bristol's transition to a low carbon future. This section of the website is designed to meet those support needs - wherever you are on your green journey.

Peer to Peer Support

Peer to peer support is a key aspect of our benefits package to members. Once you have signed up to Green Capital, you can join our network and receive regular invitations to training, seminars and networking events.

We tailor our own events around the support needs of our network and the expertise we have available through our network and delivery partners. We aim to cater for the range of environmental business support needs you may have - from those just starting out on managing their environmental impacts to those looking for more advanced products and services.

If you need help with identifying where you are on your green journey, and what next steps might be appropriate to you, use our self-assessment tool.

The Advice and Support section of our site has been designed around this tool to provide relevant quick guides to key tools and resources.

Leadership Conversations 

From time to time, we also run 'leadership conversations' to bring together environmental experts with the city's leaders.

You will receive invitations to these events and be given opportunities to contribute to strategic planning decisions and priority-setting under the green capital programme.
