Make your Bristol Green Capital Pledge

By making your Bristol Green Capital Pledge, you are agreeing to take action to help make the city a Green Capital: a low carbon city with a high quality of life and to report your progress publicly.

There are many ways in which you can contribute to this goal, such as:

  • embedding carbon management practices into your business
  • designing or developing new low-carbon products and solutions
  • implementing a new environmental policy or environmental management system
  • engaging staff, customers or suppliers about their resource use and impact on the environment
  • supporting local projects helping to protect the natural environment
  • partner with us to share your knowledge or expertise via our network

We are measuring the collective carbon reductions achieved by organisations who have pledged and will report this annually through the Bristol Partnership.

The following benefits are available to organisations who join our network by pledging to take action:

  • Diagnostic environmental business advice & signposting to support services by Business Link
  • Access to training, seminars and networking events in the region
  • Peer support via sector-specific briefings, business champion seminars and online webinars hosted on 2Degrees.com
  • Practical online tools to help you make the next step in your green journey, and to report your carbon savings through our simplified carbon calculator
  • PR and media exposure, use of our Supporting Green Capital logo and notification of local green awards
  • Free associate membership of BETS, Bristol's environmental and technology services association
  • Exclusive invitation to strategic 'leadership conversations' in the city about Bristol's green future
  • You can visit our Members Area to see our latest events programme. This area also describes how to report on your progress and gives ideas on developing your action plan.
